Love of Teachers For the Interactive Whiteboard

January 30th, 2011

In this way, the teachers are not only keeping the students busy, but also making children interested in obtaining knowledge related to their subjects. In addition, they grasp the knowledge in a very creative way. The students learn in a very interesting way, and can take advantage of many teaching techniques.

It has the advantage of images, video, and sound. With the help of which, the teacher can explain the visual image in a better way, which cannot be explained on traditional whiteboards. The greatest benefit of an interactive whiteboard is having the ability to use the latest teaching materials and share online information. Information and activities can be stored and this means that a whole lot of paper can be saved.

The teachers have the liberty to make lesson plans, and they can deal with an individual student according to their needs on the interactive whiteboard, to repeat the instructions, and search for more information. In addition, it helps to encourage the students to participate in all of the class discussions.

It is because of the interactive whiteboard that the teacher has been able to engage students and help them to stay focused and enthusiastic about getting more information. Interactive whiteboards are a most effective teaching tool. The teacher who uses it, has made their teaching life much easier as well as far more rewarding.

On interactive whiteboards, the teacher can explain many concepts to the students in 3D images, which they were not able to explain earlier, as in the form of graphs, and charts, and the concepts of average and fractions in maths. Thus, instigating students to learn in a way that is more enjoyable and effective, as well as creating interest for children.

The teacher, with the help of an interactive whiteboard, can keep the track of assignments of the students without any hassle of paper work. It has made study enjoyable for both the teachers, as well as for students

Free Teacher Resources – Improve Your Teaching Skills

January 29th, 2011

I can imagine that as a teacher you have to know how to attract students’ attention and to present the lesson as interactive as possible. In this way students get involve, they feel that they mean something and they become more receptive to the information presented during classes.

To be a good teacher nowadays is a real challenge but for the dedicated ones is something they enjoy doing as they want to improve their teaching techniques all the time. Free teacher resources available today makes it all so much easy. Do you remember the days you were a student? I do, but i don’t like what i remember. The lessons were so long and boring as there was no interest from the teachers’ side to make it more challenging. We, the students, did not count much, the teacher would say the lesson but without any effort to make the subject of his teaching more attractive. However, today is a real competition to be the best so every teacher is looking for new things that would help to keep the audience attention.

Students today seem more interested in learning and that is not only because every generation is getting smarter but also because teachers are really trying to teach, to get the message out there and to leave a mark in every student’s life. In my school years i had only a few teachers that were really meant to do this. They had patience with every student and try to explain everything as good as possible. Well those teachers i still remember today and i also remember a lot of their teachings even if they have nothing to do with my work today.

Today teachers are trying to make their lessons as interesting as possible and they achieve that by bringing materials to help illustrate the message included in every lesson.

Some of the resources can be found on a lot of internet sites containing free teacher resources. Some of the materials that could be used are: worksheets, flash cards, different clip arts, some magnets and everything else that may help. There are some educational videos available out there that could any lesson pleasant and very informative. I remember that in my beginning school years i really liked my English classes and that was because the lesson was very well structured: first the teachers would present us some facts, after that we used to watch some video about the same subject and in the end we were having some interactive activities like completing some worksheets or answering some question like in a contest or you can say quizzing tasks.

In these free teacher resources sites can also be found with lesson ideas for every domain: math, literature, computers, music, arts, science, etc. And you can also find some ideas for home assignments, science experiments, some educational contests, all meant to keep the student interested.

Nowadays teachers have all the help they need to make teaching fun and to have attractive and informative lessons to benefit the learning process of the students.

Learn Faster With Free Teaching Resources

January 29th, 2011

Methods of teaching or the resources of teaching are very different from the present techniques to the past one. In the past, the methods of teaching were informal. There were no specific rules for teaching. Elder persons used to give lessons to the children from their experience. There was no resource for teaching. After that, when books were introduced it became the only resource for teaching. With the arrival of writing procedure, teaching became more serious and thus making the education system more effective as well.

Though teaching is a noble profession but it takes a lot of hard work to make students understand the knowledge provided. While choosing free teaching resources a teacher should keep in mind the following conditions:
Every student has their own capability for understanding. So free teaching resources should be chosen in such a way that they should communicate well with all students.
Free teaching resources should not be boring.
The materials should describe the contents in an efficient manner.

Some of the free teaching resources that can be used by the teacher are:
I. Slideshow- Teachers can prepare slideshow on a topic and can teach students through it. Students find it interesting than reading books.
II. Word Charts- Teachers can prepare word charts which contains words and related pictures. Words may be action words (walk, run, cry etc.), school words (bell, desk, chair etc.) or any other words.
III. Alphabet Charts- Alphabet charts are extremely useful in teaching younger children aged 5 or 6. The colorful representation of the alphabets attracts the children.
IV. Rhyme Books- Rhyme books contain funny rhymes which children found to be attractive and enjoy reading them. These books help them to construct and understand a sentence. Some rhyme books also contains “tongue twisters” which is very popular among the children.
V. Picture Books- Picture books contain pictures of the related topic. Theses books attract the children with the colorful pictures. Children find the books easy to understand.
VI. Grammar Books- Grammar books help in building the concept of grammars in the students.
VII. Concept Books- Concept books give the concept of various things to the students, such as, the concept of far and near, the concept of heavy and light etc. These books describe the facts with pictorial representations which students found to be very interesting.
VIII. Multiplication Chart- Multiplication chart helps students to read the multiplication of the numbers and recall them in their mind.

In the group task system students are divided into groups and are assigned particular tasks. By this method, the ability to work in group and the cooperation with each other increases. All this being equal, free teaching resources have their own advantages:

Free teaching resources that include slideshow presentations are very interesting to the students.
Younger students prefer pictorial representation than black and white books.
Students find it easy to understand the lessons through free teaching resources.
